Anthill Jelly Popsicle!

Have you ever seen how an Anthill looks like?
Well, the children are going to make one and show you now!

Ingredients required:
Konniyaku jelly
Brown food colouring
Wholemeal biscuits
Raisins
Gummy worms (optional)

After the water is boiled, place the jelly and mixed it with brown food colouring. With carefulness, the children are allowed to pour it into the popsicle holder. It definitely helps in their fine motor skill by balancing the jug and aiming it well while pouring it.

Before preparing the mixture of jelly, the children shall do some pounding of the biscuits into small crumbs so that it could be added to create the 'soil effect'. Through this activity, they learnt that from a round piece of biscuit, the shape could be changed with the strength of their hands by pounding it.

Look at how focused they are! Pound, pound, pound, pound, pound and pound!

Let me taste the biscuit crumbs! I couldn't wait! Yummy yummy!

Let us add the ants and a few worms to accompany them.

Once ready, it is placed in the fridge to harden it. Finally, it's the time that they have been waiting for!

Let's enjoy our Anthill like an ice-cream!

Like to try some Daddy and Mummy? We can try making it with round or any other shapes of food containers too!

Let's protect the sea creatures!

What is water pollution?

How is rubbish going to affect the lovely sea creatures?

How should we help to keep our ocean clean?

How are we going to let the little ones learn about these huge topics using simple ideas?

Here's how! Ms Firza brought a tub of water with sea creatures in it to represent the ocean.

Let's feel the icy cold water with our hands first!

The water was cold but it was clean and the sea creatures live happily in it.

However, what is going to happen if people start throwing rubbish in it?

The ocean became dirty and the sea creatures couldn't breathe!

How can we help them?

Let's clear the rubbish! Everyone plays a part!

Now, even though we can never make it as clean as before, with everyone's help, the ocean is free from rubbish again.

Let's continue to keep our ocean clean and make it a better place for everyone, including the lovely sea creatures!

Peek-a-boo!

The PNs practiced their race track in preparation for the Children's Day Sports Carnival.

They had to crawl through the long tunnel first!

Look at their adorable smiles for the camera!

What awaits them at the end of the tunnel is to place the coloured balls in their respective colours correctly.

We are all well-prepared for the sports carnival now! Hurray!
