Our First Parent Volunteer!

We had a special guest in school! Kristen's Mum, Mrs Kua, volunteered to teach our K2 children art and craft in relation to our theme for the month, 'Myself'. They made a 'I'm Special!" photo frame and individualized it with beautiful arty paper and thumbprints!

It is definitely not easy to make a photo frame as the children need to measure and cut within the cardboard! That's a tedious work which requires full concentration! Let's look at what they have done:

Thank you Mrs Kua for being our teacher-for-the-day!

We look forward to more parent volunteers in our school!

A trip to Chinatown

On our way to Chinatown : )

Once we touched down at Chinatown, we were welcomed by the beautiful Chinese New Year decorations such as lanterns, horses, dragons, lions and huge pineapples!

Throughout our trip, we saw other interesting things!

The world largest coin:

Trishaw from the time when there were no taxis:

The statue of a samsui woman:

And many more learning about Chinese New Year and Chinatown!

We had a great time in the year of the snake and hope for a better year in the year of horse!

Puffy Pussy Willow (银柳)

Our lovely Nursery children have made Puffy Pussy Willow today!

The children were rolling the cotton wool into tiny balls for the furry catkins.

Next, we painted some branches!

Lastly, we pasted the cotton balls and decorations on our branches!
