The Very Busy Spider

Inspired by "The Very Busy Spider" by Eric Carle, the children did a painting using mixed media.

The children used white oil pastel and created the invisible web.

The children went "Wow!" at the magical moment when the watercolor touched the oil pastel. The invisible web became visible and beautiful!

Now, the spider web is ready. What about the spider? Let's count the number of legs... 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8!

Aren't these busy spiders beautiful?

It's time for a nap after a busy day~

Field Trip to Big Fun Kitchen July 2014

It was the month of Pizza-mania, where we learnt about the origin of pizza, the making and tasting of pizza when we visited The Big Fun Kitchen!
We have integrated it with our theme of the month 'Food' and 'Passport around the World' where we visited Italy, the country where pizza was originated.

Journey to our destination -

Here we are!

The chef did sharing and introduction of the ingredients before the children created their own pizza. They were all listening attentively.

Now, let's get down to work!
Firstly, all of them dressed up as chefs before they may begin.

Step 1: Let's knead the dough

Step 2: Spread the tomato base
Look at how the younger ones spread it evenly with so much focus and fine motor skill in holding the spoon.

Step 3: Add the ingredients

Can you guess who is not wearing the chef's attire?

Yeah!! It's ready to be baked!

Hereby present to you our little chefs of the day!
