Family Picnic @Sembawang Park :)

It was a bright windy morning that's just the right weather for our picnic and kite flying!

Welcome Ziyang's grandma who has joined us too :)

Look at all the happy grins from the children and parents on the bus journey towards the location.

We are here! Let's take a picture! Cheese!

It's really relaxing to lie down and enjoy looking at the blue sky. What a good experience :)

Now, let's all help to let the kite fly high!

Whoa, that's a good start! I may need to follow the direction of the wind to fly it higher.

Yeah! It's flying for the K1s with Chester's daddy help!

Children trying to fly their kite that they have made too.

Janelle's daddy has successfully flew the kite too!

Come on, let's run!

We love playground!

Big thanks to all the parents who have managed to participate! I'm sure all the children had a great time and wonderful experience with the nature!
Do continue the weekly park visit if possible as it helps in keeping their body healthy and strong with all the outdoor activities vs using iPad, iPhones and TV watching.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Every month, our preschoolers will be introduced to a new storybook. We will go through the story with extension activities for the month.
We had touched on the storybook,
'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.

Children looking at the storybook as Ms. Fizah reads it to them.

Yawn! We were as full as the big caterpillar and just as tired too!

Taadaa! This was our cocoon that we stayed in after eating that huge piece of leaf.

Wriggle wiggle wriggle out of the cocoon and we became the big beautiful butterflies!

We coloured and pasted pictures of food that the hungry caterpillar had eaten and made our own booklet!

Ooops! The pictures of food made us hungry! Till we meet again,
Hungry Caterpillar!

Nursery's First Parental Involvement!

On the last Friday in March, Mrs Tay kindly took time off to teach the Nursery how to make a stethoscope.

We would need aluminium foil, egg carton, yarn, pipe cleaners, cotton wool, glue and hole puncher.

The children tried to wrap the egg carton with the aluminium foil to give it the shine.

Next, we would need to roll the cotton wool into balls and attach them to the two ends of the pipe cleaners.

To connect the pipe cleaners to the egg carton, we would need to punch a hole.

Now, let's get Mrs Tay and the teachers to help with the tying of the pipe cleaner to the egg carton.

Ta-da! Now, we can all pretend to be a doctor!
