Our Family Tree

"Are there two or three or four in a family?
Five or six or more in a family?
You're in a family, I'm in a family.
Families are all different."

(sung to the tune '10 little Indians')

How many people do you have on your family tree?

The K1s created a door hanger with the sign "Welcome to the (surname)'s family!"

The children learnt about parts of a tree: roots, trunk, branch, twig, leaf and crown. The children have different ways of portraying their tree; some of them chose to have different types of fruits on one tree, some have fruits on the ground, while other chose to have no fruit.

After painting, the children cut out faces of their family members and pasted them on heart-shaped pink paper. They really did try their best not to give their daddy and mummy a 'new haircut'!

Here comes the pasting of our lovely family members on the tree!

Ta-da! This is really a tedious project but we all did it!

*thumbs up*
